Legal bases and purposes for processing your personal data
The processing of your personal data can result on the one hand from the implementation of pre-contractual measures that precede a contractually regulated business relationship or on the other hand from the fulfillment of obligations from a concluded contract (in particular a purchase contract, a service contract or a consulting contract) with you. This can include, for example, the processing of purchase orders, deliveries or payments or the creation and answering of inquiries from individuals, to determine the justification or conditions of a contractual relationship or to process an inquiry about a contract (Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR).
In addition, we are subject to various legal obligations that may make it necessary to process your personal data (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. c GDPR). These legal obligations can arise, for example, from tax law (e.g. to comply with retention periods vis-à-vis the tax office), commercial and foreign trade law or sanctions law.
In addition, it may be necessary for your personal data to be processed to protect legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR). The legitimate interests are in particular the conclusion or implementation of contracts and other business relationships with our business partners, for whom you may work as a representative or as an employee, or answering your inquiries, in particular in our member programs as well as events and workshops or other things. Furthermore, legitimate interests are internal administrative purposes (e.g. for accounting), ensuring IT security and IT operations and the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.
Provision of your personal data
As part of our business relationship, you must provide the personal data required for the establishment, implementation and termination of a business relationship, to process your inquiries as a prospective customer in our membership programs, events, workshops or other things and to fulfill the associated obligations, to collect them we are required by law or are entitled to do so on the basis of legitimate interests. Without this data, we will generally not be able to contact you and/or enter into a business relationship with you.
Recipients of your personal data
Insofar as this is necessary with you for the above purposes in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 lit. b, c or f GDPR, your personal data will be passed on to third parties who support us in particular in the area of financial accounting. Furthermore, your personal data can be processed by processors working on our behalf, such as IT service providers or service providers for document destruction. These are carefully selected and contractually bound according to Art. 28 GDPR. Otherwise, your data will only be passed on to third parties outside of us if you have previously expressly consented to the transmission in accordance with Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit.
The personal data will be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes or as long as there are legal or contractual storage and documentation obligations (from the German Commercial Code, the German Criminal Code or the German Tax Code or sanctions regulations). We also delete your data if you have revoked any consent you may have given to the processing of your data and there are no statutory retention requirements to prevent deletion.

Affected persons have the right to information from the person responsible about the personal data concerning them according to Art. 15 DSGVO and to the correction of incorrect data according to Art. 16 DSGVO or to deletion if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 DSGVO applies, e.g. if the data are no longer required for the purposes pursued.
