What’s your company doing in one sentence?
Innential is an Employee Growth Assistant. We make it easy for tech companies to create career development experiences that grow and retain their top talent.

Tell us more about yourself, your co-founders and your team.
Innential is a core team of 2 founders and 8 team members. We’re passionate about building learning solutions for tech talent and using the latest technologies like generative AI to make learning at work more effective. We’re crazy about learning. Dan and I have been self-motivated learners throughout our entire careers. I’m a self-taught software engineer who went into business. Dan was a financial analyst who went into sales and is now a co-founder and CRO. We want to use our experience to help people grow personally and professionally, and support companies in enabling that growth.

What was your motivation for starting Innential? Tell us about your journey so far.
After working in the tech industry for over 10 years as employees and managers, we’ve seen how important it is to help your teams with personal and career growth. Technologies change fast and work culture changes happen more frequently than ever before (e.g. going from remote to hybrid to again office). This creates a huge need for upskilling and reskilling. Even in our small product team we must constantly update our knowledge. Not only does it give us enable us to be more productive and capture new business opportunities, we’re also more satisfied with our personal growth.
That happens more often in larger companies with 100+ employees who have variety of challenges that can impact their entire business. By helping them set up the right career development experiences and learning opportunities, we not only create a positive impact on the company’s performance, but we’re also supporting employees’ personal growth that will positively impact their future.

What is the most important thing you are working on right now and how will it succeed?
Creating predictable growth marketing engine is the most important element for our future success. Having the right team and process to execute our assumptions quickly is also critical. We move very quickly, so ask us the same question in 3 months and we’ll probably have a different answer.

What was your biggest challenge so far as a founder?
There is only certain amount of time in the day and using it on the right things is super relevant but also hard. Nailing prioritization and focusing on the right things is likely my biggest challenge.

 

 

What are you the proudest of so far?
I’m very proud that we’ve built a team that’s solving all the insanely difficult problems we’ve encountered so far. It’s hard but also a great feeling when things come together.

There are great people working at both Venture Studio and Campus Founders that not only gave us useful advice, but also a network and connection that we’ve leverage to grow faster. I highly recommend having them on-board!
